I am remote to the home, so troubleshooting on site is impossible. My devices are not responsive. I put a ticket into MCV yesterday, but would like to understand what might be going wrong.
Effectively all the Z-Wave devices are off-line. I had downgraded my Z-Wave network to 2.78 to allow the SIS of an Intermatic MultiWave controller. The controller added perfectly after downgrading to Z-Wave 2.78.
Somehow, the Z-Wave chip reverted to 3.20. The Z-Wave firmware checkbox setting still shows 2.78. The Z-Wave status page shows v3.20. All the devices are unresponsive.
Any ideas?
Bump. Fixed some tablet induced mistakes and added detail to the issue. Thanks.
I was bumped up to 3.20 by MCV a while back. Since then I have noticed many device updates are infrequent and irregular. Not sure why and if it is related to 3.20 or just a coincidence. I am waiting for my next on-site visit to make any changes or upgrades, and hope the whole UI5 thing has settled down by August when I do.
Note MCV has recommended that I upgrade remotely but I lack the courage to do so.
Yeah, well… Mine is completely non-functional. It’s great that a MCV tech will probably log into it and clean it up tonight or tomorrow, but I’d like to have some idea of what went wrong.
I’m also trying to do a Z-Wave backup, revert to 2.78, then do a Z-Wave restore. Regardless, I see backups going way back. I have confidence that if MCV can access the device, they can bring it back up remotely.
