Using the light meter, I want to run 2 events/scenes. The first would turn lights on when the device reads a low light level and the second to turn lights off when the devices reads a high light level. I can do this independently of each other, meaning having just on or the other scene on the dash board, so I know it can turn on and off. However, when both scenes are active on the dash board, the only one that works is what ever was the last one I activated.

I don’t really understand. Could you try again to explain the situation ?
When I have both events active, only one will work but not both. Manually I make the sensor get high or low lights with a flash light. I can get each event to work when the other i not active, but together I can’t get them to work. Basically I am tying to use the light sensor so that when it detects low daylight levels it will turn lights on and when the daylight in the office is bright it will then turn lights off.
you know that the only event instantly is the motion detection ? The light brightness is not sent instantly, but pooled at every x minutes (usually 30).
I poll the 3 in 1 sensor in the settings option, so I don’t have to wait around for a new number.
By active I mean just having one scene available. I create the “on” scene and run it with different settings and such. I then delete it and create one for off and run different settings. But when they are both only one will work.
Also, I did another test today. Created 2 scenes to each turn on a different light. I set the light level at 50 for both and used a greater than for one and less than for other. With the meter reading a light level of 2 I figured only one event would be triggered, but to my surprise both turned on! Leads me to believe that the <> signs don’t mean anything.
