Evolve Dimmer and LED lights

I’ve been using Evolve LRM-AS dimmers with LED lights without any issue until tonight.

I changed out two GE LED 40W (5W actual load) LED5DG16-C3/TP2P lamps in my ceiling fan. GE shows the lights as dimmable and the Evolve dimmers have a neutral so there should be a problem but they go nuts when trying to dim them.

Just as a check I took out one of the lights and put a standard bulb and the remaining LED dimmed normally. That an action I’d expect to see with a dimmer with no neutral. Tomorrow I’ll double check that the Neutral didn’t get disconnected.

I’ve run the Evolve dimmers with a single 15W LED and they worked fine.

These dimmers are at least 4 years old just incase that has something to do with the problem. I guess it’s possible newer Evolve dimmer wouldn’t have the same issue or maybe the GE LEDs are just junk.

It sounds like the GE bulb that you have is incompatible with the dimmer, regardless of Neutral.

Test with a different brand LED bulb.

Once I double check the Neutral that will be my next course of action.
