Everspring Z-Wave Devices - No support or warranty response - Not recommended

Just wanted to share the Everspring support department has been completely unresponsive.

I submitted three support tickets over the last 3 weeks asking for warranty replacement. Two of my nine, 4 month old, outdoor motion sensors have failed and need replacement.

Unless you get them really cheap and don’t need product support…I wouldn’t depend on Everspring to stand behind their products based off my experience.

YMMV

Phone them and give them an earful.

Sadly, none of the manufacturers seem interested in dealing with end users. Most recently I have been completely ignored by Linear.

I will have to say that my experience so far with enerwave has been pretty good. Then again, that was me asking questions BEFORE buying something so who knows how post purchase support will be.

I will say that Schlage has to be the exception. I haven’t called on my battery issue on my motion sensor, but every request about my locks is always taken care of promptly and very professionally.

Yeah. I have a bunch of thier door sensors and they are crap! I suggsst to everyone to run, not walk, away from their products and battery powered zwave devices in general.

Evolve has provided good service to me on a couple of occasions. Relatively responsive and easy to deal with.

Danfoss and Kamstrup.
They are not helpfull at all.

+1, I got burnt with their lousy door sensors as well.

For door/window sensors, my present recommendation is the Schlage RS100HC Door and Window Sensor. They are smaller and less obtrusive than the Everspring sensor and include covers in both white and brown. They are usually cheaper than the Everspring. They can utilize external contacts like the Everspring. They work well.

For @AgileHumor’s outdoor motion sensors, I don’t currently have anything to offer.

Depending where you are in the world you might have legislation to back you up as a consumer but that said it will be a Long route and most people, can’t be bothered for reasonably low value products. I had many everspring plug controllers fail all of now be swapped for something else. I bought mine from vesternet and as the sale was with them they replaced them for me, your retailer should probably be your first port of call they should have an indemnity in place with their vendor all the way back to ever spring. Your contract will be with the retailer so try them.
