Everspring ST814 problems humidity

Hi guys

After searching some topics and trying diffrent settings, i struggle to get it working correct with the reporting functions.

From what i can see, the temperature sensor updates veralite interface, but humidity updates only if i press tree times on the ST814 learning button.

Attached is configuration under the device options.

Running latest firmware.

Anybody have some hints on making auto report the humidity also?

I don’t use auto report (parameter 6 is set to zero) but have 7 & 8 set to 1’ and 5% as you have and the ST814 updates Vera everytime the temperature varies by 1’C or 5% humidity. Auto report potentially drains the battery needlessly when there has been no apparent change (at least while Vera only reports temp in integer format >:( )

Going to try and set 6 to zero and see if it will act different.

Thanks, this does the trick. Setting value 6 to zero and it reports humidity on 5% change.

Well, same problems…

It will not update, it worked a few then nothing. Temp can go 5-10 degrees, no change, same with humidity, 30-60% no change on the vera.

What am i doing wrong.

Strange, particularly if it did work initially? (firmware version 1.5.408)
All I can suggest is to check:
a) That parameters 6,7,8 are as programmed and have not got reset somehow (set parameters back to ‘monitor only’, save, select ‘configure node right now’ and press C/F button three times to wake up the ST814).
b) Make sure you didn’t accidentally turn off RF transmission (antenna symbol gone on the display - set option #7)
c) Move the ST814 closer to Vera in case its a transmission range issue.

Thanks Frasier

Did some testing as you described, and option C made things work. Strange part is that when you pressed the C/F for learning/wakeup it updated to the vera in the initial setup, showing that there was communication there.

Anyway now it logs like it should with the correct values when it changes. At least it can be used for something useful as venting the pool room when humidity rises too much or add heating to room when needed.

Thanks!
