I just installed one of these. It’s been more than 1/2 hour (the time specified for wakeup) and the device still says “Waiting for wakeup to configure”. Is something not right or do I simply need to have more patience?
Have you checked that the wakeup interval is set to 1800 secs on the device settings page?
Activating the tamper switch should also cause a wakeup.
The other possibility is that if you have mounted it after inclusion then any metal in the frame may be degrading the operating range.
Possibly the [tt]Wakeup interval[/tt] hasn’t been configured yet (in the device). As @Frasier suggested, I’d try a manual wake-up.
The wakeup interval is set to 1800. It was set this way automatically. What is the tamper switch and how does one go about performing a manual wakeup?
You have to take the device off the mount. The tamper switch is a small metal piece on the back that is spring loaded.
For the SM103-1, you have to click it 3 times within 1.5 seconds. Don’t click it too fast, though. When I have done that, it doesn’t work.
The same thing used to include it? That doesn’t work… ???
Did you do a [tt]Configure node right now[/tt] after manually waking up the device (if that’s possible)?
Looks like the device will stay awake for 10 minutes after applying power, so that may be the more reliable route: re-insert the batteries, then do a [tt]Configure node right now[/tt].
Thanks oTi@! That did the trick.
