Everspring and vera?

So I just bought:
Everspring SP814 (motion sensor), SF812 (smoke detector), UTSE03A (door bell)

http://adino.se/hemautomation/z-wave/PIR_025
http://adino.se/hemautomation/z-wave/brandvarnare
http://adino.se/hemautomation/z-wave/Dorrklocka

I am quite new with z-wave but I’ve managed to add all these devices to vera 2.
The motion sensor is working perfectly. The smoke detector does not report when triggered, at least not with test button (don’t want to make a real fire).
And the door bell have no idea how it’s working, tried to look in manual but no greater luck. The two devices that fallowed are added as “AV misc” and “Scene controller”

Does anyone have any greater experience than I do with these kind of devices? Please feel free to help me out here.

Thanks in advance!

@computerSciene,

Welcome!

In regard to the smoke detector, there is a current topic over here.

The smoke detector don’t work so well with the Vera. You can read about this here: http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php?topic=3327.0

I don’t know about the dorrbell. But it’s possible it don’t work with your Vera. I guess you just pair the “button” with the “bell” and don’t go through the Vera. That makes it a regular wireless doorbell and nothing else.

So what does work with the vera? Are there any other system that support more products?

Vera is one of the best Z-Wave controller in my opinion. HomeSeer is another.

Here is the compability list, don’t really know if it’s up to date.

Short answer is NO it’s not update nor is it all inclusive; for instances missing items but is not inclusive; Kwikset locks, Aeon Labs door/window sensors, Panasonic IP Camera’s, Gig Themostat. Also the status on existing devices need to be updated to reflect the latest e.g. CA9000 motion detectors can be used as events with latest releases, ect… Mike

Where did you buy the Everspring SF 812? Can you buy in U.S.?

Hello,

Did you get the doorbell working? Is it just the sender unit, or is it a wireless doorbell that also broadcasts z-wave? I would be very interested in buying one. Is it available in the US?

Thank you,

David

Hi.
Actually I returned it. I could not figure out how to get it working but I can’t say I tried very hard.

I too would be interested in a zwave doorbell, anyone know if the UTSE03A door bell (or similar) is avail in US?

Hi all,

Thank you for all the helpfull info on this forum.

I now have one of these doorbell’s and also cant get it to work. both items include as mentioned in first post but I cant get anything to activate/run/play a sound - in essence they just add but i cant seem to do anything with them?

Very odd - any sugestions?

Thank you in advance.

Morning All,

Just thought I should add I have a vera 3 version: 1.5.346

I have full links to the doorbell manual but can’t post them here (it won’t let me) but a Google of TSE03 or TAC06 or UTSE03A will bring it up.

I think the answer may be in some LUUP code – e.g sending an on signal to the bell when a scene is run and running this scene when the push button is triggered? I think this is possible with the basic_set and basic_get binary codes…. But this is where I get lost sadly.

I would be so very grateful for any help here as I actually moved from an Aeon Labs stick to vera for temp and doorbell use – the setup is a lot better and temp sensor works great…. But this dam doorbell! Lol.

Looking forward to any creative thoughts I could try.

Thanks again.

Hi All,

Just an update - I have logged a ticket with Verde and they have read my logs and have sent to the development team so I asuem they have noticed an issue and are palnning to fix it? I certainly hope so - a simple door bell soloution is way to long overdue IMO.

If any one has any luck with LUUP code before then or similar working soloution I would certainly be interested.

Cheers all.

A little off topic but I have the Everspring indoor siren and it works great with my vera 2.

It was easy to setup and is incredibly loud.

I had looked at one of these also - good to know it works.

Lets hope the Bell ends up workign as smoothly as the siren! been waiting a long time for a zwave door beel that works with out the need to use a soldering iron! I have al my hopes on Adrain from Verde to help get it working…

if any one has had sucsess please do let me know.

I will of course update when I have any joy.

Hi All,

Just an update - I ahve today chasees dupport again since it has been some weeks now - would appear they are unsure as to the issue but since they have the device listed as compatable I would hope this is resolved shorly.

As always I am keen to hear if any one else has this product and if you have had any sucsess or issue with it? also of course if any one is able to offer any solouytins via LUUP code that may work?

Will keep you posted and look forward to heraing form others too.

Kind regards,
LightsOn.

What is the problem… Wasn’t sure based on your post. As I read it looks like you have the devices included with vera? If so then I would think you just create a scene that turns the alarm on for x seconds (on then add a delay of x seconds then off) and setup the trigger as being the door bell is activated. (or whatever switch)

Hi aschwalb,

Appolagies if not clear - have been through similar motions to your sugestions but this does not work. they are added but no fuctionality operates sadly. micasaverde have confirmed this. Everspring are exchangeing details with Micasaverde so should hopfuly have fully working drivers shorlty. will of course keep all posted.

Many thanks all.

Hi all,

Just an uopdate - Everspring gone quite with no communciation? strange - will continue to chase after what seemed a good start but as yet - this still does not work sadly.
