Error calibrating Fibaro Blind Module - SOLVED

Hi

I seem to be having an issue trying to calibrate a Fibaro Blind Module.

I’ve tried setting parameter 29 to 1 but Vera says:

Failed at setting user configuration.

If I set it to 0 that works OK. But 1 is needed to start the calibration routine. I’ve tried 1 byte Hex and 1 byte Dec.

As per the instructions here:

http://www.vesternet.com/resources/application-notes/apnt-73#.VE-6Kvl_s5w

and here:

http://manuals.zwaveeurope.com/make.php?lang=en&type=&sku=FIB_FGRM-222

I have also tried the other method of pressing the wall switch and holding it for 3 seconds and releasing 3 times as described in the manual, but nothing happens.

Thanks

Just tried a third method:

Calibration through Menu (B-button)

Make sure the module is connected to the power supply.
Include the module into the Z-Wave network according to the inclusion procedure.
Press and hold the B-button for ca. 6 seconds.
LED will glow blue.
Release the B-button and press it again, briefly…

Roller Shutter performs the calibration process, completing full cycle - up, down and up again.

Again after doing this nothing happens the motor does nothing.

I have connected this Fibaro module to a curtain motor / rail. It works in Vera as in I can press the Open button and it opens and the close button and it closes.

However if I try to move the slider to say 50% it doesn’t stop at 50% it just opens or closes, which is why I think I need to calibrate it.

Thanks

Also I am not sure how I should have parameter 10 set? I think either 0 or 1 ?

Roller Shutter operating modes (Parameter Number 10, Parameter Size 1)
parameter sets the operating mode.

Value Description
0 0 - Roller Blind Mode, without positioning
1 1 - Roller Blind Mode, with positioning (Default)
2 2 - Venetian Blind Mode, with positioning
3 3 - Gate Mode, without positioning
4 4 - Gate Mode, with positioning

Attached are some pictures of the curtain motor and rail. The motor is a Dooya DT52S Standard four wire motor.

Thanks

Think its calibrated now!

I had parameter 10 set as 0 initially. I changed this to be 1 instead and saved Vera.

I then added parameter 29 again and set it as 1. Vera still showed the user configuration error, however this time the curtain motor did its calibration routine.

Now when I move the slider to 50% it works and the curtain rail moves to 50%. ;D

I then removed the parameter 29 altogether and saved again.
