ERGY plugin not working

I recently purchased a Vera 3 along with the aeon HEM and 2 smartswitches.

I was playing around with UI5 today and noticed the ERGY tabs under the main Energy tab. I activated the ERGY plugin and it does not seem to work properly. If I click on the ERGY light or ERGY tab I get this error message “Invalid gateway or key.”

I have tried uninstalling the plugin and re-installing with the same results. Does this plugin actually work for anyone else with a vera 3?

What version of firmware are you running?

I have a Vera 2 and the ERGY plugin worked on the Energy>>ERGY light tab, but crashed on the Energy>>ERGY settings tab

Hi,

I receive the same error message, running FW 1.5.255

Regards,
Mikael

I am running firmware version 1.5.254

Is there an update or beta out there that I can try? I would like to get the ERGY plugin working.

As of right now 1.5.254 is the current public version of UI5. The beta versions are only for the beta team.

garrettwp,

Does the ERGY plugin work for you?

Have not installed it due to bad experiences in the beginning.

I had some issues once I purchased the premium ERGY. I sent them and email and they did something on their end, I refreshed browser, and then everything was good.

for me it only has problems … even when it works it doesnt give any values and its pretty nice looking …,. if it was a poster on the local supermarkt wall… i dont see the plus of putting a commercial product into something we allready payed for… not the plus of the software as built-in live energy option at least produces something that actually shows any values.

Hello
I am writing from France. I bought a Vera 3 with firmware 1.5.346.
When I click on ERGY window I still have the same message “log into your ergy account”. I register my account with the same mail and password than my vera. But it still give me the same message.
Has anyone gotten the ERGY plug in to work?
Thanks for your answers.
Best regards

Yes. As I mentioned in this thread (http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,9734.msg67658.html#msg67658), “I couldn’t get “Activate Plug-In” to work until I entered “Energy used” (total watts) in the settings for one of my Z-wave switches.” Its functionality is underwhelming though.

I also had a ton of trouble and still the plugin won’t work on my Vera3 and Vera2. I even worked with Ergy folks to try and fix it, and still no go. I think there is something seriously wrong with the implementation of ERGY into Vera, I have tried everything and still nothing shows up.

MCV, Please work with Ergy to FIX THIS, Energy management is one of the main reasons people are automating!

So, I am still @UI4, mainly because of the ERGY looks to be a no-go. Or is it working now?
UI4 works, and while I am missing some of the new features of UI5, I don’t want to go 5 unless I can have a working wattage history. This is one of the main features of Vera/Z-Wave if you ask me…

Edit: 14->4, 15->5 (slight brain error)

I believe you mean UI4 and UI5 not 14 and 15. But to answer your questions, user Chris has just released his updated datamine plugin that will graph and store the history of the values you tell it to record. This update works with UI5 now. Have a look at this thread:

Interesting, it looks as if it has come a long way since I last followed the datamine plugin!
However, I think it still is missing the ‘total’ consumption which I kind of like with the UI4 Energy consumption graph, split by the individual consumers.

I guess that with this new datamine approach, a function like this might appear in the future though!
