Enerwave ZWN-RSM2 showing up as 3 devices?

Hi All,

I have purchased quite a few of these and they work great, however when I add them to the network they show up as 3 devices. I usually just ingnore the first one and setup the two that show up as “appliance_1” and “appliance_2”.

Is there a way to remove the other instance without doing away with the whole thing? has anyone else used this relay? Or is there a way to just hide it on the devices menu?

thanks!

3 devices is normal.

Have you tried switching the parent device? I can’t remember if it switches both child devices or not.

Devices can be hidden; there are numerous discussions on the forums about hiding devices.

I have one of those and it does create 3 devices(a parent and two children).

Just as it is with some devices created by apps, I created a couple of rooms(Z_Parents and Z_Apps) to hold those I don’t use and they will show up last in the room list view.

Does switching the parent switch both children at the same time?

Hmmm, interesting… just tried and it lights up child #1. Child #2 doesn’t light up when switching the parent. ::slight_smile:

Thanks.

Good Idea, Thanks! ;D

Just consider this:

By default, variable Childrensameroom in the parent will have a value of 1. You need to change it to 0 in order to be able to place children in separate rooms.

That worked, Much Thanks!!!

Hi, I can not make the parent device manage the two childrens, I cannot All On / All Off.

Its probably best to leave the parent alone and create a scene or group to control the two “Children”

Thank you I already did that way.
