Energy Consumption as Scene Trigger

I’m trying to set up a scene triggered by the energy consumption of a JSC–45653WB. It works, but is slow (10 - 60 or more seconds) to trigger.

How quickly should a JSC–45653WB update it’s energy usage to the Vera? It’s on/off status is updated nearly instantaneously (<1 second).

Is there a way to make the energy consumption update quicker, in real time?

Not familiar with that device, but you might check in the “Device Options” and see if there is a default setting for update interval. You may not see any device variables, in that case, you’ll need to add the appropriate one based upon the mfg. documentation for that device.
