Enable Foscam FI8910 Motion Control when DSC Panel is Armed

I currently have a DSC Alarm Panel with a EnvisaLink 3 connected. I also have a Foscam FI8910W IP Camera and would like to Enable the Motion Detection when the Security System is armed and Disable the Motion Detection when the Security System is Disarmed. I’m thinking of getting a Vera. Would it be capable of doing this?

I’m new as well, but I would say yes, but not real simple. It comes down to LUA scripting to write a scene. Here is a post that covered some of what you are talking about: http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,12381.msg90644.html#msg90644. Do some more searches and that might get you where you need. I’m just starting out and so far I’m liking the setup, just wish the scripting was easier by using if/than/and statements…
I would also check this post http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,11027.0.html

You should be able to do this with 2 scenes. The first has a trigger that is when the DSC alarm detailed state is armed, then it would arm the Foscam motion. The second scene would have a trigger that is when the DSC alarm detailed state is disarmed, then it puts the Foscam motion in Bypass. The only problem is that there doesn’t appear to be a way to set the DSC alarm off when a Foscom motion sensor is triggered, but it would still be able to be used to record video when triggered.

Did you guys ever end up solving for this? I want to do the exact same thing with Vera and DSC Panel integration.

-When DSC is armed via keypad, Vera is armed and cameras are recording on motion, Vera also turns on all the lights that are connected
-When DSC is unarmed via keypad, stop cameras
