When I created a scene shortly after getting the vera I set up email notifications to see how it worked and then I turned it off a day later. A few weeks later and I still get intermittent notifications even though not a single scene has a notification configured.
What do I have to do to get the vera to stop emailing me?
That’s true. In the scene there is options on when the scene runs. If you choose all modes in the scene and then change your mode from the dashboard you could get another notification.
After the latest firmware update the emails are coming in again. The original scene was deleted and that stopped them, but now I get alerts whenever there is motion and there are no scenes detecting motion.
Were you using a device in your scene? If so, go to that device and click the > to go to the settings page.
Scroll down until you see the Notifications line and click on the > to the right of it. Are there any notifications listed? If so, removing them may solve your issue. Repeat for any other device used in the scene.
I sent the email to support@getvera.com a few days ago but never got a response. I find it ironic that you guys send unwanted email and don’t receive desired email.
@BOFH: I checked the device and it lists no notifications, and no scenes under the device itself.
Hi, I see that one of my colleagues already replied to your email. Please enable tech support and paste the access code into that email so we can help you solve your issues. Thank you!
Maybe unrelated, but today mail started coming from noreply addresses at mx-us-1.mios.com rather than notify.mios.com, so if you have a gmail filtering rule, you may have to update, but sounds like you have something else going on.
I haven’t received anything from vera in response to the email I sent them for this (not even a confirmation it was received), so I’ll PM you the code.
It really looks like a scene that was deleted is still running. There are also triggers running taking pictures on cameras, and there is no scene in the scene list doing those things.
I don’t have physical access to the device, and I don’t see a reboot option in the GUI. The last time it was rebooted was when the firmware was updated.
I also can’t SSH to it using the ssh password from the techsupport page where the password comes from: $SERIALNUMBER-$SSHPASSWORD.
Have you tried a reboot and browser refresh then recheck and see if you see the scene?[/quote]
Rebooted, closed browser entirely, reopened. Scene still not there. Also, I know the notifications were disable on the scene, I hadn’t received an email for quite a while (the only way to get it to stop emailing me, even with notifications disabled in the scene, was to delete the scene entirely), and then after the firmware upgrade they started coming in again.
By chance, have you checked your Vera app? Go into that app on your phone and see if your scene is there. Support kept asking me if I had geo-fencing enabled which I never touched.
My personal issue was I was modifying scenes on my phone but the changes never carried over to the UI7 web browser interface so even if it was deleted it was still on the phone app.

I just checked and unfortunately there are no extra scenes there.
