I’m no good with electronic.
Do you have pics for the relay, and how to set it up ?
There is some more info the thread below.
There are a few ways to accomplish the same thing; for instance, I modified an appliance module to remove the 115 V from the relay internally, but this is not something I would recommend unless you are competent with electronics!
Are you competent enough to wire a wall switch though? If so then you can use an ACT zrf113 relay then its quite easy to do. The only problem with this approach is the relay is back ordered everywhere at the moment. Somebody else in the thread also has done it with another low voltage relay that has a 115V coil.
I expect if you post in that thread we can then all detail a bit further how we all accomplished it!
But… since wayne claims that this is compatible Z WAVE, wouldn’t be it easier simply to give the module reference to vera so they can add it in their list ?
The wave part is just a lamp I think.
When you look at the video, the whole thing is wireless (lamp + mechanic from the door)

ok so back to Elk and alarms since that is what this post was about, doe sanyone have the elk system currently running?
Any status on this, seems to fallen to the side? An RS232 or even IP to the M1XEP would be a nice add especially with the VRcop emulator option.
I believe MCV (alfonso) is working on a plugin for ELK (although not sure what flavour of control interface)
I was in a process to buy a DSC system when I see ELK systems, then checked here to see if something was said on the MCV forum about it, and here I am…
Anything new about a natural, or forced, interface between ELK and Vera ?
@Strangely
I think you were about to take a decision. Did you made your choice ? Any thoughts to share ?
Nothing new?

I went with a DSC system because of price and availability really.
You have 3 options and there’s a post somewhere from @guessed that describes this better (merits of each)
DSC
GE/CADDX
Paradox
