I was using this on Smart things as garage door sensor - worked great.
It connects as a motion sensor on Vera UI7, which is not a problem. Tilt it and it it responds as motion / no motion - do I can live with it.

But it has limited motion range - this only works in one orientation on the garage door- and this it does perfectly.

Only the signal is inverted
ie motion shown when closed
no motion when open

If I could just invert the response (which CANT be done by inverting the sensor) I can happily live with it

How does one invert the display icon / response in Vera?

Check the technical specifications. It probably needs a digit transposed in one of the parameter settings.

I am unable to find any technical specs

I have effectively a generic device and am looking fort guidance on what parameters to change in the Vera settings

I use one on my garage. The icon is the UI7 door/window sensor (as opposed to an open or closed door icon) and the sense is correct. No indication when the door is closed, active when open.
