DUWI 6431-3 and DUWI 6431-2

Hi to All,

anybody that knows the difference? they’re priced differently…

I would guess that the more expensive one is flashed with an enhanced firmware.
I believe it has some new nice capabilities.

Ok, I’ll bite. I searched google for DUWI 6431 and got this forum.

What is a DUWI 6431?

Düwi is a Z-Wave brand out of Europe. Looks like this particular model is a wall switch.

The -3 suffix probably denotes the newer firmware. Hard to say, the product numbers vary a lot; I’ve had:
06431 (new firmware)
05431 (old firmware)
05457 (new firmware)

The newer firmware supports state push, associations (managed by Vera), and a few other things. Be aware that there was a bug in this firmware that affected state push and associations (see here: http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,8045.0.html), which got fixed only recently; I’m not sure if the fix has made it to the market yet. If you need these features, make sure you’re getting the latest firmware. And thanks for reminding me, I neglected to post an update to that old thread.
