Vera 3 UI 5 Ver 1.5.672
I just had the strangest situation. I’ve been running for over a year with DSC Alarm Plugin Version 0.40. This evening i tried to arm the alarm from Vera and nothing happened, the alarm did not alarm. I am able to arm the alarm from the DSC panel so I know the alarm is fine. I can access the Envisilink interface and ping the IP address.
I started digging through the Apps and found that sometime between yesterday and this evening the DSC Plugin changed from Ver 0.40 to Ver 0.38! The current Appstore version is Ver 0.40 so I am at a loss to see how this happened. I updated the Plug in and operation has returned to normal.
Not sure what that’s about.
The DSC plugin v0.40 was released nearly 1yr ago (19th Aug 2014) and v0.38 was over a yr before that.
The only thing I can think of is that MCV Dev-ops tweaked something in apps.mios.com, like rolling out a new instance (with old Plugin code). I doubt that though, since it would be an extremely rookie maneuver - esp if they didn’t announce the mistake.
That said, the 0.38 version was still posted/available alongside the 0.40 version. To avoid any potential for future apps.mios.com software problems I’ve gone ahead and removed/unpublished them from their site.
Thanks, it was truly bizarre
I recovered first by running an update in place via the URL. But that didn’t do it because the roll back appears to have trampled on PLEG Device Definitions so things still didn’t work correctly and opening PLEG complained of removing actions forgives devices.
I went beck to a backup of 27 Jun which I was certain everything worked properly. Everything appears normal again. I have also disabled the Auto-UPDATE
