To my knowledge I haven’t changed anything on the vera itself. It’s been running pretty smoothly and I have been happy and have left it alone.
The last couple of days it hasn’t been doing some things as I expected and looking into it, it appears that the Vera no longer talks to the alarm and as a result also doesn’t have access to those sensors which is mucking up the works.
I know that the Alarm is connected to the network, because I can go to Eyezon and control the alarm from there still. So it is something with the interface to the vera.
I’ve looked around a bit and I don’t see anything really configurable in the DSC app so I’m not sure what to look at next.
Can someone give me some troubleshooting tips please? I’m not sure where to look next.
I think I’ve figured out what caused it. I had a power loss and when it came back up the EVL-3 got itself a new IP. I believe I’ve successfully assigned the old IP and it’s not using that. I’ve rebooted everything a couple of times and I think all is well again.
Mine has been disconnected for the last month since I had a power loss. I think it reset the IP address but now I can’t find the IP address of the envisalink. I’m using a little wireless hub attached to the envisalink to connect to my network at my house so that I didn’t have to run a LAN cable across my house. When I log into the router and go and look at connections I don’t see the MAC address for the wireless hub or envisalink anymore and I’ve tried resetting both the router and envisalink, I’ve tried deleting the DSC app from vera, etc, etc. Getting really annoying now. I can control my alarm system through the envisalink website but not through my scenes on vera anymore.
Have you tried rebooting the envisalink through the envisalink website?
What I did was I went into my router, and had it assign the envisalink the IP address that Vera thought it had and then saved and rebooted the router and then rebooted the envisalink.
