I just tried to install the DSC IT-100 control plugin on Vera 3. I encountered a situation where the plugin, enters some kind of loop and will not let me exit or input any data. Everytime I try to exit out it reappears. The only option is to delete it. Any idea how to solve this?
How did you install the plugin? How is it hooked up to Vera?

Dowloaded the plugin from “install apps” on interface. Once I did that I read the Wiki that suggest plugging int USB before installing plugin. I then deleted the plugin to follow the instructions. I wonder if that is where it went sideways. I have a couple of device icons that i cannot delete now. Help with that would be appreciated as well. I connected the IT-100 via RS232 / USB cable
If you have deleted the plug in, it can leave orphans that you can not immediately delete. To delete the orphaned icons, add a parent in the Controlled via field in the Advanced tab. Save. You should be able to delete them.
The orphans will not respond to selecting the wrench. If that won’t work how do I delete them?
Try installing the plugin again but wait awhile.
WHen I reinstall the plugin, it enter some sort of loop. I cannot exit out. I cannot go between the tabs on the plugin setup (wrench). The only thing I can do is press trashcan to delete. I hope I am missing something, but I don’t know what it is.
Not sure what changed, but I was able to install it and it seems to see the alarm panel. Will report back…
Everything is working like a champ, except…
Anyone know how to arm/disarm from SQ Remote? Also, how do I see the status of PGM Wiring (ex. 2 Wire Smoke)

In SQRemote you create a Scene for Arm, and others for Disarm/Stay/whatever, and then you put that Scene button onto SQRemote.
Note that to do Disarm, you have to wire in a PIN Code into the Scene definition. It would be preferable for the Control Points (like SQRemote, etc) to natively present a Dialog for PIN entry, so it needn’t be stored, but only Automator.app and AutHomation do that right now.
For the Motion sensors, you can create a Control area in SQRemote to house them all ala-dashboard style. It’s very handy to be able to see all the Open Zones, for example.
I’ll let @strangely or the others comment on the PGM’s, since they’re more familiar with the DSC Panel features.
I believe its the same issue as this:

I think the problem is that Auxiliary Input Alarm event isn’t exposed, as I just tried to set this up as a trigger, but it doesn’t exist as an option! I believe this was the problem @jmmorgan was having, and what caused him to use his workaround here:

How do I go about setting up a scene for Arm/Disarm. I currently don’t have the option when under scenes. Both the system and panel icon’s are crossed out. I may need some help with the disarm code portion. I am not a programmer. Played with some C+ and Fortran in college, but that was a long time ago ???
In order for you to setup scenes that involve arm/disarm, you will need to install the dsc plugin files from DSC Alarm Panel and not use the plugin from apps.mios.com. The updated files on code.mios.com have not been added to apps.mios.com.

Garrett,
I don’t see the link to the appropriate plugin. Can you point me toward it on that Wiki page? I am sure it is right in front of me, but… Also before I install the new plugin, I assume I will have to uninstall the existing one. So far when I have done that it has left orphan devices that I cannot remove. I can’t click on the setup or “wrench” with any success. Any ideas? thanks a lot!
Don’t know if it matters, but I am using UI5.
I have uninstalled the plugin and reinstalled it using the files from the Wiki page. The sensors icons have been generated along with the names from the panel. I can arm and disarm the panel from Vera. I can no longer see the status of a sensor. Nor can I access the “System” icon from the Automation tab. I bought a DSC alarm specifically due to it’s Vera integration. Am I doing something wrong or does UI5 no longer allow this functionality. I would be grateful for any help.
Does this look right? I have this sensor set up under door zones, but I notice it is referencing motionsensor1 in the device file name.
I think this is what you ae looking for, see

Try and remove all files associated with the DSC plugin and reinstall. When uninstalling a plugin, the files still exist and do not get deleted.

How do I remove the files? I only have the option of view or download.
