Dream wall app (looking for ideas)

Guys,

As part of other ambitions in my life I am going to start a bit of side development. I will be using Ionic platform.
That means essentially its a web app.

I currently use Authomation HD which I love for my wall mounted tablet.
I got to thinking though if I was able to develop anything I wanted what what I want.

My main drawbacks with Authomation, at least how I use it, is sometimes I search for the correct tile.
I have my common devices pinned as a favorite in 1 room. So I have to search for Living Room LED, or Bar lights.
I thought possibly having a top down view of my condo would be nice so I could physically touch the light I wanted on or off.

So just as a brainstorming exercise, for those with wall mounts, what would you want on your dream app?

Hi Joer.,

I use Tasker widgets te send commands to my Vera Edge. Basicly I use 2 variations.
I use toggles form my lamps which are directly executed by Vera and I use my light scenes for my philips hue lamps controlled by a logitech harmony ultimate.

Next to my lights i use:

  • Wheather widget
  • Spotify widget
  • few shortcuts to most used apps
  • button for my son so he can watch movies without our help. :wink:

Wow that’s great use of tasker. I like the setup very clean. Appreciate the ideas!

It’s not that difficult.
In fact you’re looking at my android home screen with a black wallpaper and my floorplan photoshoped on it.

  • the toggle widget triggers a simple tasker tast in combination with autovera.

  • check current status of device (in case autovera missed an update)

  • if on, then turn off and if off, then turn on

  • then when autovera receives an update, it takes the new status to change the widget icon (grey = off, white = on)

Same for my entertainment

  • active activity is highlighted, when i press another one i activate the activity
  • when autovera picks up the new activity, it changes icon.

Is this something that could be shared as a template - which others can just import and customise ?

Hi Parker,

I’m affraid that won’t work because off all the different tasker plugins I use.

But again, I’ve learned a lot on this forum so I’ll be happy to help some other users out.
