Door sensor not firing on first event

Hi ?
I?ve got an Aeon door sensor that was working great until recently. Now it typically does not ?fire? on the first time the door is opened. If I close and open the door a second time, the trigger fires.

I have replaced the battery, and I noticed that on the first attempt, the red sensor light triggers.

Here is the Device Settings:

I?m not sure what to do next, any ideas?

My bet is that it is a communication issue. perhaps the first route is unreliable.

I would try moving the Vera close to the device and see if the reliability improves. If it does, then you need to improve your Z-wave coverage.
