Does vera 2 have a reset node command

Vera 1 had a way to reset devices that have already been paired so that could be paired with vera. (http://wiki.micasaverde.com/index.php/Reset_Node) … does vera 2 have this functionality as well? If so how do I do it?

Same functions as with vera 1.
On the Wizard bar, click the +! next to the scene button.
Cick next on the Z-wave tab.
Scroll to the bottom.
There you can choose to exclude your devices.

JOD.

These devices are paired with a handheld controller and can’t be paired with Vera 2. Vera 1 could reset the nodes using the dongle but I dont think Vera 2 can do it.

It’s the same principle. You need to exclude the deviice first, then include them.
If you have the dongle, use that to exclude them, if not use Vera 2.
Then include to Vera 2.

JOD.

I assumed you could only exclude nodes that were a part of your network.

Hahahaha…If you read a post from yesterday you will see it got sort of heated over that very topic.

You can use any exclusion method to exclude the device to add to another network. HOWEVER…there are caveats as were mentioned in the other post…
IF you DO NOT use the same exclusion controller that was used to include that device, the other network will have no idea that device was removed, it will cause problems to the other system as an unreachable device. SO…it’s always best to use the same device to exclude it.
HOWEVER again, you can use any exclusion controller, dongle, Vera that you want…and include it again.

You ok with that explanation @strangley & @zmistro? I’m trying to keep the peace…;D
