I have a 3 in 1 light / motion and temperature sensor running off a Vera 2. The motion and temperature appears to be working but the illumination sensor as displayed on my MCV web page dashboard continually shows Level 0, regardless of the amount of light in the room. I would have envisaged that 0 probably means dead darkness and a higher figure indicates some level of light. It has never raised over Level 0.
The documentation states there is no configurable parameters to the illumination sensor so I was wondering if any may have any useful hints.
Welll I have done a bit more research on the issue. I have taken the unit out and back in of my Z-Wave network and had found that it does infact work, just very very badly.
I pulled out my LUX meter from my photo bag and actually did dome qualitative measurements and found out that teh light response from the light sensor is almost exponential and basically does not work under around 100 LUX of ambient light.
Once the ambient light drops below around the 110 LUX figure, the sensor just reads 0.
These figures make the unit next to useless as a light sensor. Whilst teh documentation states there is no variables to adjust, does anyone know if the sensitivity of the light sensor can be improved?
