Hi!
I have two Foscams working well with my Vera Edge. However, there seems to be some problem according to the Alert tab?
I have a lot of “Device NOT responding” and “Device responding again” error messages. Anyone knows what could cause this?

Check the MAC address in the settings for the camera matches the MAC on the camera itself. Check the IP’s aren’t jumping around as well.
Thanks! The settings for MAC address on the Vera was empty. I have filled it in, will wait and see if the problem persist.
I am having the same problem with my foscams also. I have 3 of them and the error messages are a bit annoying. I checked the MAC addresses of mine too and they were missing. I added them in and hopefully that fixes it.
same problem, mine cant go 24 hours with out loosing connection
this has to be the weakest link in the entire z-wave system
I put the MAC into my cameras and I am still getting non responsiveness on one of my three cameras.
Any ideas?

Have you ensured that you have either a Static IP address assigned to the camera or at least DHCP Reservation for the IP’s for the cameras?
Yep, been like that for years with these cameras. This way I can get into them remotely via my phone, web, etc…
Actually, just checked the logs, it’s all 3 of my cameras that go non responsive and then responsive again.
I have the MAC format separated by colons, could this be it?
Thanks!
Stephen

I’m using colons too so it shouldn’t be that. I get occasional errors still on my cameras as well.
Do you have your port as IP:PORT in the Params field?
You could open a ticket with Vera and ask them for a firmware upgrade if one is available and not pushed to your cameras yet.
Otherwise, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Vera servers get a slow response from the URL’s being checked and instead of saying Error: Vera is Slow it says Device Not Responding.
