Hello, everyone, I realise that this device will eventually be supported with he new firmware, but was wondering if anyone has them and is using them now? If so, do you have the device files to make this work?
Yes, it works very well. It shows as a dimmer and a light bulb but it functions correctly.
Hello Lance, what unit are you running? I am using the Vera Plus and when I pair the device it says āCan not get information from Nodeā. The device will not work at all and throws back multiple errors in the logs.
I had them installed on both the Vera Edge and Vera Plus running 7.29. I have since migrated all but a few devices over to Hubitat. I use my Vera Plus to run all my doors and thermostat. I have a few ZW4002ās(12730) and 14287 working just fine no issue during the inclusion. How far is the controller and switch during the inclusion?
Only a couple of feet. The switch is almost directly above my Vera. Iāll try putting it up right against the thing and see how it goes. Inclusion seems to work fine, itās everything after that. Iāll try including again and then repost with some screenshots.
Okay, I have no knowledge of coding but will try to help in any way that I can. One thing I would do is a factory reset and then include it. There may be settings that are being retained from a factory test etc.
Factory reset has been done a few times. Will try again for good measure though.

This is the zwave configuration file for my device type. I would compare to yours and see if each are close. It may help, I have had Vera assign generic devices and then I had to cobble the advanced settings to get then to function.

Ok just gave it a read and reread your last message. Are you saying that I should create a device file myself? Is that a .json file? How do I get it assigned to the device?
When I had to change things I went through the advanced tab. I cannot remember ever creating a device handler file just modifying the existing file to get it to work and then reloading the lua engine, along with a hard refresh of the browser ctrl f5. Most of my looking through the forums show others have the switch working. Do you have a lot of devices? Maybe another device is interfering with this one? I really wish I had more direction for you as I know how frustrating this is (all too well).
Haha, no worries. This is my only Zwave device at the moment. I have a bunch of them on the Wink still, and Iām just in the process of migrating them over.

yes that is correct. I canāt remember what it was for but i was having errors too! Iam still using my vera just not the primary anymore. I grew very tired of the firmware concerns and updates not coming very often. if you downgrade to an older version as i did you may find it pretty stable. With Ezlo taking over there has been a big jump to rewrite code both at the device level and the kernel which has cause the current condition for the Plus and Secure units. Bare in mind it may take some time to figure out what configuration will work best for your needs. I will not get ride of mine just move the main to a solid performing system, at least for me at the point I am at. Hoping that some developers on the Hubitat side will develop or find a way to bridge the Vera as they did with Smartthings!
Would haveing the wrong settings in variables cause an Error 'Device failed to configure"
My understanding is, it could, but I really am not sure. If itās failing to configure the data is not being sent back and fourth to the device from the hub. Not sure if it is an interference issue, a security issue, or the device is faulty. I found it was usually me that induced the issues like you are having. With that said if you have no other devices to connect its hard to tell if it is a unit issue or device. What is the firmware you are on? That is to FW 7.22 so its a down grade but that was by far the most stable I have ever run on my plus. Just a thought that the current FW is or maybe part of the issue? No sure just a thought.
You know what, I think this problem may be a bit more that just the fan switch. I have Dome Door senor, also migrated from Wink. The thing is right on top of the very. It pairs just fine, but then it doesnāt work. I have a magnet here to test it and everything but it displays as an On\Off switch, and it doesnāt do anything.
Thatās 2 Zwave devices and 2 fails.
Not sure how to troubleshoot further from here.
Change it to a contact sensor in the advanced tab, reload the lua engine , ctrl f5 the browser and see if that fixes the dome sensor! I will look at the string you need to change. This is the issue I was having for awhile.
