Maybe this is an easy question, but is there a way to detect power failure on a circuit using ZWave? I am interested in monitoring my garage circuit, which trips the GFI every once in a while.
Plug in a lamp module on the circuit you want monitored… when it stops responding to polls you know the circuit is dead… or vera has a bug… hmmmm… wait thats probably more likely than your GFI tripping

I was looking at some zwave siren/lamp module here on the boards that is in development… it mentioned being able to connect it to constant power and also having a 9V backup battery… this would be the perfect device to monitor constant vs backup power… maybe they will build in a function that lets vera know the difference and what the power source it is drawing from.
