Delivery Failed?

I’m using the latest “Accounced” firmware, have a newer USB Z-wave stick from the trade-in program and a fresh battery in my Fortrezz Sensor. I noticed the temp isnt getting updated, so trying to wake up and configure or even remove and try to re-add into Vera I get “DELIVERY FAILED”.

Other devices can be turned on, off, and my scenes work, yet this device seems to be alienated. Any ideas?

Have you tried to remove and re-add it?

Yes, I click REMOVE DEAD NODE under the device within Z-wave devices and it also says “delivery failed”

by delete and re-add, i think 325 means you should exclude it and then include it with the dongle, this should always be done before attempting to use “remove dead node”

you dont even need to reinsert the dongle between including and excluding, just:

take the dongle to the device,
HOLD the dongle button down until the blue light blinks fast,
press the activation button on the device,
wait for dongle to finish exclusion.

then

press the button on the dongle until it is in include mode (slow blinking),
press the activation button on the device again,
wait for the dongle to finish inclusion,
reinsert the dongle to vera.

note: you will have to redo any scenes or events/notifications that use that sensor/device

And one more little thing to add - it normally takes several hours for the temperature from FortrezZ to appear in Vera, after it is included in the network… At least that’s how it worked for me. At first I was also scratching my head trying to make the temperature appear…

Its wake up interval is 4 hours by default - but it can be changed just like in HSM100. Battery won’t be happy though…

That is correct. I guess it’s a technical limitation that the temperature can’t be read from the sensor when it’s being included/configured and one needs to wait for the next wake-up interval to finally get it.

Thanks, I wonder if my Fortrezz is DOA. It seems that the battery is dead, yet I put a new one in a week or two ago and never touched the wake up interval from defaults. I threw it on a multitester today and it’s ready 2.6V, it should be 3.6V.

So, Im assuming that when I did my tests somehow the circuit for the fortrezz shorted out. Thanks for all the tips here, much appreciated.

Depending on how old your Fortrezz WWA-001 is - there was a firmware modification done based what you are describing last spring
