Delayed Action Device Sequence

Hi,

I need some help scripting a scene to control the water system at my vacation home. I have designed/ installed a powered valve system that drains back the water to an external well pit, for freeze protection.

I have 4 devices which I would like to operate in one scene.

Devices
Insteon Outlet - (Powers 2 - I/O Links, 1 power supply and 2 ELK-924 for polarity reversing for ball valves)
I/O link Main (Water Main valve)
I/O link Drain (Water Drain valve)
Insteon Outlet - Water Pump

This is how I would like it to operate.

Insteon outlet on →

30 Second delay (provide time for I/O links to power up)–>

I/O link - water drain On (Closes Drain valve)–>

30 Second delay (provide time for the water main ball valve to actuate before next operation)–>

I/O link - Water main On (Opens Main)–>

Delay 30 seconds–> (time to complete operation)

Insteon Outlet OFF (lock out the I/O’s from accidental change/ power failure or surges.) →

Insteon outlet - Water Pump - ON

I don’t see a reason why you’d need to do any scripting at all for this. You don’t have any conditions, just do X, wait, do Y, wait, do Z, wait. Am I missing something here?

Ok. How do i go about setting up a scene with waiting period between devices being activated?

I could see in the OP that perhaps conditions might be useful if one particale part of the sequence fails and the sense would need to exit the scene without processing additional actions. Of course I have know idea how to complete such a task. But I would be interested in learning. however I am a noobie to Vera.
