Is there a way to setup the number that notifications come from? I would like to have a dedicated text tone for any alerts sent from my vera lite. Thanks in advance!
Just save the number into your phone as a contact after you receive a notification - mine seem to come from the same number all the time.
You should then be able to add custom tones etc.

USA here and every time I get a SMS the number is different…
In the USA, MCV uses the Email → SMS bridges to send out notifications. This saves money, since it doesn’t cost them for every SMS sent out. They may this change sometime back in 2009[sup]*[/sup]
A side effect of using these gateways is that you don’t have control over the origin of the real SMS. Providers can choose to use “banks” of delivery mechanisms to do it, and you’ll see different numbers.
In countries where an Email → SMS bridge doesn’t exist, or isn’t readily identifiable, they have to resort to using a real SMS… with the associated costs. In this case, it’s common for “limits” to be imposed in order to cap the upper bound on the costs…
