Deadbolt Keypad interface with DSC 1832

Admittedly I’m a bit of a noob. I’m coming from a Wink just for simple lighting controls. After their recent reliability issues I am considering changing to a Vera system. What I’d like to know is if there’s a way that by using a Vera that I could arm and disarm my DSC 1832 via a deadbolt keypad? Housekeeper comes to the house, uses her code to unlock the door and the alarm is disarmed. She leaves, hits the code to lock up and the alarm is set. If anyone could let me know how to accomplish this I’d really appreciate it.

Technically yes, you should be able to do this,
To connect the Vera to the DSC 1832 you will need some parts and added to your DSC:
http://code.mios.com/trac/mios_dscalarmpanel

Then you need to add a supported Z-wave dead bolt.

Then you create a scene in the Vera to tie the two together.
