So I’m trying to develop a scene to do daylight harvesting. The scene is what I think pretty basic but I’m not good enough yet to be able to write a concise scene to be able to do this. I’m fairly new and I think I should be able to do this with a few lines of LUUP but I have never written anything in LUUP (yet). The basic routine would be at 8:00AM turn the lights on in a area and at 10:00PM turn them off. While on, if the photo sensors is above 75 ft. candles (I need to convert this to lux) dim the lights 50% or even better, dim the lights the archive 50 ft.candles. Then I need this to check the lighting level at set intervals and adjust as needed. Any ideas where start?
I was just about to ask what is DLH then I did research
“Daylight harvesting, also called daylighting control or automatic daylight dimming or switching, uses a ceiling-, wall- or fixture-mounted light sensor to measure the amount of illumination at the task surface in the space or at the daylight aperture, then signals a switch or dimming ballast to adjust light output from the electric lighting system to maintain the desired level of illumination. An effective daylight harvesting control system saves energy while being virtually unnoticed by occupants.”
I love automation!!! Did akbooer suggestion work for you?
