I read on an inactive post that vera logs all pin code on lock entries with time/date. How do I find and access that data? I have my locks set to notify me if an invalid pin code is entered or a pin code with an invalid date.
Thanks
I 2nd the request. It would be nice to be able to see whom and when someone is accessing a lock entry. Mike
This has been going for a long time. Record keeping for pin code locks has been around at least since the 80’ and probably earlier. Vera is just stuck in the 80’ in this respect. :![]()
@S-F are indicating that there is no PIN log capability within VERA and/or Logs? I currently use the notifications but that only tells me that the lock was open/closed only. Mike
It’s buried in the logs which you can only access from cp.mios. It’s never updated very well and it’s mixed in with everything else that happens.
I would have thought I would be able to SSH into Vera and gain access, sound like I would have to parse the log for Lock related events? Any insight as to where and which log(s)? Mike
How do you access the logs via cp.mios.com?
I read that it was through the events button but that took me to a page with only one lock listed in the device list. When you click on the device, you get a calendar that has some days underlined (with links). When you click on a link, you get any events for that day such as an invalid code or code with an invalid date (if you set the lock to give notifications for these events).
However, there were no normal code entries logged there.
Yeah, just yesterday I was poking around in cp.mios and didn’t see anything related to the locks. is this information buried in the depths of Vera where only a programmer can fin them? :![]()
