D-Link DCS-5010L How do I get the PTZ to work?

I first went in to the cameras UI and made the IP static and am able to see and control the PTZ camera through my web browser.
Then, I saw the device automatically created in my UI5 devices area. I noticed it had the original DHCP IP and I was not able to see the video or control the PTZ.
So in the UI5 I changed the module to the new IP and could not get it to work even with the suggested snapshot URL in the cameras UI of “http://192.168.1.101/image/jpeg.cgi
So I deleted it and tried to add a new camera manually.
Then I could not add this or any camera or get it to show up again.
Then I did a factory reset of the camera, and BOOM! it shows up immediately. This is the URL that was in the module created by my UI5 that works. /image.jpg
Now I can see the camera in UI5 and my mobile devices but I still have no control of the PTZ as I get an error when I click on them of “No Implementation”
How do I set up the PTZ for this camera?
Any suggestions?

Read this thread, it might help you: http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,16868.0.html

Thanks for the link. I did see that thread, unfortunately, I have no idea what or where to put the files. I have never done this kind of modification before.
Is there a tutorial or pointer somewhere for me to study how to do this?

Short Version since this has been discribed multiple times in the forum:

  1. Download the file from here: http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,16868.msg133554.html#msg133554
  2. On your vera go to “Apps => Develop Apps => Luup Files”. There choose the downloaded file and upload it to your vera.
  3. Continue according to this post and the rest of the thraed: http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,16868.msg132031.html#msg132031

Thanks for that. I can confirm that the 5010 works with the 5020 commands.
The up, down, left and right are working.
Do you know how I can find the zoom + and zoom - commands?
Thanks again for your help.

Glad you got it orking so far.

No sorry can’t help you with that. Try with Google or Wireshark. I don’t actually have a dlink cam, I just provided the file for other uses so they don’t need to adjust plugin files themselves but may store the commands as a variable.
