Vera 2, UI5, firmware 1.5.460.
My CT-30 Z-wave thermostat keeps reverting to a lower setpoint. I’m using the ping sensor in conjunction with the PLEG plugin. When I’m not home, the thermostat is set to 62. When get home (phone connects to Vera’s WiFi, ping sensor tripped), the heat will kick up to 67.
After several minutes (the ping sensor stays tripped), it reverts back to 62. I’ll put it back up to 67 via the Mios dashboard, and it will revert to 62 after a few minutes (ping sensor still tripped). I’ve even tried raising the temp via the thermostat itself, with the same result.
I experienced basically the same thing when I was using the ActiveRFID system as well. Even before I started using PLEG (Just simple Home = heat up, Away = heat down scenes). Uncommanded setpoint change, with no trigger.
I’ve tried excluding and reincluding the thermostat. I’ve screwed around with making scenes. I’ve played with the PLEG conditions. I’m at the end of my rope with this thing.

Is there anything in the log (LuaUPnP.log) at the time the temperature set-point reverts to the lower value?
There seems to be a bunch of commands… I can cut and paste if it would help, but there are quite a few that have “HandleActionRequest can’t handle service” in yellow text.
I’ve been fighting this with two different CT-30s ever since upgrading my Vera 2 to UI5. My cooling setpoint will set down to the 69 degrees for no reason. Whatever you do to fix this, please share.
Bummer thing for me, my thermostats are located in a vacation home and seems like each trip down I have to reset the zwave network. Here’s to crossing my fingers for future stability.
I don’t know much about the CT-30 but I can suggest a couple of things to check:
If Vera is commanding the setpoint change there should be evidence in the log. Look for lines containing the device number of your CT-30 with timestamps just before the setpoint reverts. The CT-30 has its own time-based programming. Are you sure it isn’t this that is commanding the change? Does the reversion still happen when the CT-30 is in manual mode?
