Cracking open a Vera backup?

Vera 3 with over 3 years of wear and tear. DEAD. Solid orange light… :frowning:

I wanted to hold out for a Vera Plus, but at $100 Vera Edge was too good a deal to pass up. And I may just use it for locks as I move over to Indigo on the Mac (or Openhab… but Indigo looks pretty good at the moment).

So I have a current backup. I can open it up in WinRAR and see the files in the various directories.

/etc/cmh-ludl, /cmh etc.

I don’t necessarily want to restore this to my Edge. But I would like to see my previous config – if noting else, an XML of my previous devices, LUUP code I had configured (either in scenes, or in PLEGs)

Any recommendations on how I can do this?

You should find everything in the /etc/cmh/user_data.json.lzo json file… However, you first need to uncompress it from its lzo archive and then use a json editor/viewer

Hope this helps
