Count down timer not running

So i just added a the count down timer to help control my kitchen lights.
Basically want my Fibaro motion sensor to turn on my kitchen light when motion is detected. Then to leave them on until no motion is detected for 5 minutes then turn them off.
I have set the count down timer as below which i believe is the same as the example on the forum for the occupancy light for a bathroom. When the sensor is triggered light comes on but the timer does not count down and subsequently turn off. If i press run “light on kitchen” from the dash board timer works great and runs to completion and turns the lights off.
I have obviously got something wrong but can not fathom out what.
Any help would be really appreciated.
Countdown timer is set as:

scene: light on kitchen.
device?s : kitchen light on?. count down timer cancel
trigger: motion detected, device is triggered

scene : motion detected
device: count down timer cancel
trigger: motion detected ?. device is triggered

scene : kitchen light off
device; kitchen light off
tigger: kitchen timer… timer completes while not muted.

should not be when motion is detect restart timer, so that every time motion is detected the timer goes back to initial setting, no motion detected the timer completes countdown

Thank you for your fast answer.
I have changed the setting as you suggested and the timer seems to work now( i can watch it count down and reset when motion is detected) but only for a few resets then the timer runs to completion and the light turns off even if there is still motion in the kitchen.
Would you have any ideas ??

It would seem that the motion sensor is not detecting motion. Is there any way you can monitor and verify the motion sensor is detecting motion?
