Controlling AV via Android Tablet ?! - Anyone?

Has anyone been able to control their AV with Android Tablets through scenes or other means?

I have an SQ Blaster and SQ Remote on my iPhone but have yet to see anything for Android. I am currently working on placing my ICS Touchpads (thank you HP Clearance) in the wall and it would be great to have everything accessible from one place.

I believe the SQ team are working on an android app… I think this is primarily for the SQ home controller, but I cant see why it wouldn’t work for the blaster also.

You should message Matt and John, and see where they are with the effort, and see if you can assist with testing perhaps?

The sign up for the android beta of SQ Blaster Remote started in April 2010:

But I don’t know whats going on there. There are some apps that “kind of support” the SQ Blaster:

I have the sqblaster plugin installed on my vera, by using scenes on the vera I am aible to send simple commands to the tv etc…

Thanks guys. I have shot an email to John. Hopefully i’ll hear back shortly.

I think they are further along now, since its going to be required to help test their new controller. From what I could gather from the CES show, its a bit of a departure from the iOS app I think, which was what was holding back development.

Have you seen this unit: http://www.touchsquid.org

Great device, I purchased one some time ago and it has been great. Full android tablet with built-in IR blaster and a very extensive library of pre-programmed IR codes.

This app will allow you use an SQ blaster (or many other IR devices) with Android also.
