Can I use this without connecting to the Vera servers?
My vera does not have Internet access.
I use my iPhone and VPN to my network where my Vera resides
I would like to be able to control my Vera over a VPN via private ip address.

Yes this should work fine.
Yes, I can log into my Vera using the web interface or SQRemote using an iPhone VPN’d into my home VPN/router. No issues.
