Control tv with FIOS STB

Hi all, about to buy a Veralite bundle and I was wondering how to control the tv with the Veralite. At least be able to turn it on, more would be great. We have Verizon FIOS. What else do I need?

Also I’ve read that DROID users can use an app to voice control the Veralite, anything exist for the
iPhone?

First welcome to the forum. Second, I suggest you spend some time searching and researching on this forum. There are a lot of questions that have already been answered.

For the turning on / off the tv, there are a few plugins that can control the tv directly. This depends on the Brand / Model. There are also IR blasters that can be used with Vera to control equipment via IR.

The only thing for voice control for the iOS platform is hacking Siri which from what I understand will only work with iOS 6 and older.
