Basically with your approach you will have two sensors, and at least one power supply (maybe 4 pieces in total if you need two power supplies). Unless you can hide this stuff away, then its gonna be ugly!

Given bullet points 4, 5, 6 and 7, perhaps somewhere between centralized and individual is possible and save a few power supplies and possibly OR several sensors with a single HRDS1, if the accompanying loss of detail is acceptable?
