after installation and some changes i connected to the battery. Never able to comm using the bettery, back to powerline and since no communications possible. Vera3 responds to ping to ipnumber givven by the router. Tried to factory reset. Sometimes hen connection through the browser to local ipnumber, username/pw are asked, none of the ones i added works. Through PUTTY to local ipnr also VERA3 does not accepts any of them. Remarkable: All leds are lid on the unit!
Any suggestions? what root password could I use, using PUTTY connection?

The root password is the wireless password on the sticker under the unit. The username and password that gets asked via the web browser, have you tried your mios account?

in linux to log in with putty you must have another account different of root…then one time connected you can change to root…
in machines using linux is this way…Vera3 maybe is like this.
No, Vera has a root account. The password is your wifi password written on the bottom of the unit. For the original poster, I would contact support if you can.
