Confused About Notifications

In UI7 I can add a notification to a device, I can select user(s) to receive the notification, select the device event to trigger the notification. And in UI7 I can go back to the device at any time and view or edit the notification.

In AltUI all the notifications appear as scenes. The trigger is there and matches what I chose for the notification. But nothing else is configured. Edit: I found where the user is configured in the trigger itself

And if I use +Notification when displaying the device, I get prompted for the ‘trigger’ and then AltUI creates a scene.

I use notifications quite a lot with Vera Alerts.

Is what I am seeing the expected behavior? Any way to keep notifications as notifications in AltUI and not scenes?

You should be able to check the “notification_only” attribute on the scene object to suppress it.

In Vera, a notification is implemented as a SCENE.

Yeah I understand the scene relationship better the more I dig into it. And I see under UI7 that a scene that is only a device trigger for notification [somehow] only shows up under the device > notifications

I can’t find this notification_only attribute to ‘check’ though. Is that on the UI7 side?
