Configuring Yale Real Living deadbolt

I have my new Yale deadbolt paired with my Vera Lite. It is correctly reporting status and I can set PIN codes via the Vera. I can also lock and unlock remotely.

How do I change other settings like auto lock, number of incorrect pins before lock out, etc.? I know I can set these via the lock itself, but the Yale documentation suggests doing this via the controller. I’d really like to turn off the auto lock after 30 seconds feature. I don’t see anyway to do this in the device settings.

I currently have firmware 1.5.408. Is this something I need .420 for?

Just also interested in this. Mine seems to have been some of the same issues in this thread: http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,11156 but is basically (?) working now with limited testing, but want to accomplish same sort of stuff you mention.

Me too! I want to be able to turn on the auto-relock function (yes, I know I can do this from the lock’s front panel) and set it to, say, 10 minutes. It’s unlikely that we would intentionally leave the door open for any amount of time, because of our house cat, but we might forget to lock the front door when we leave, so having it auto lock after 10 minutes would be great… but there’s no documentation to say how to do this!

Anyone? Beuller? Beuller? :slight_smile:

Well… to answer my own questions… after having these locks for a couple of weeks, and the Vera3 for a week… and not having ANY notifications work… after MCV technical support had me install the latest beta firmware, I now have a page for setting all the features of the locks!! So, my suggestion to those having issues, or wanting to change settings, ask technical support for the link to the beta firmware!

To followup my own post. I upgraded to the latest firmware beta 1.5.432 and it’s working great now. I’m getting notifications and can configured all the options the lock says you can.

Yes, the beta firmware works… but the relocking feature is limited to 2…5 minutes (180 seconds). Choosing any value higher above 180, results in the lock relocking after 30 seconds.

Where can I find the beta firmware? I just installed the Yale lock as well.

You need to put in a support ticket to get the beta firmware.

Did you have any issue with install of Yale?

I had no issue install the schlage touchscreen deadbolt yesterday. But today on a different door (garage door to house), I remove the standard schlage deadbolt to put in this Yale, turned out Yale was longer by almost 1". So was unable to install it w/o having to cut the whole wider. Bummed. Going to return the Yale to get another Schlage Touchscreen Deadbolt.

Hope Mi Casa Verde resolve the firmware issue with Schlage.
