Configuring remotes

Hi, i currently have two handheld remotes connected to my Vera Lite (Firmware 1.5.622) and experiencing issues with the configuration of both these devices after the network inclusion. One remote is a Fakro ZWP 15 (which is directly associated with my blinds and thus does not necessarily need to be configured via VERA) and a zwave.me key fob which should be used to trigger scenes.

This happens when I try to configure these devices:

Key-FOB:

  1. Device status reads “Waiting for wakeup to configure device”
  2. Push all four buttons as described in the manual to enable management mode
  3. Once in management mode push button no 2 which should send the wakeup and node info frame (actually i have tried all four buttons for several times)
  4. Push the “Configure now” button
  5. Device status says “Getting the name” before showing “Unable to get any information on node” after a couple of seconds

Fakro ZWP 15:

  1. Try to wake up the device (since this is not documented i just have tried to press the in/ex button)
  2. “Configure now”
  3. Device status states “Getting the name” for quite some while before failing with “Unable to get any information on node”

Does anybody have suggestions on how to configure these remotes (especially the key fob) so that they actually become usable via vera?

I have resolved this issue. Apparently the inclusion process went awry leaving vera the device in a undefined state. Reinclusion and the removal of the dead device in vera helped

Hi Maros,

how did you manage to make your zwp work? I own a ZWP10 and and want to use it to activate scenes. Anyway - it failed so far and I am too new to vera to be able to do some debugging. Any hints?

no, unfortunately no hints so far. I have only managed to fix the issues with my Key-FOB but not with the ZWP 15 remote. Currently I just use this remote with direct associations which work fine.
