this is probably something very Newbie, but i wasnt able to figure that out yet.
so how do i send configuration commands “parameters” to a z-wave device properly using luup
i mean more general device settings stated in the Manuals.

Do you want to change Z-Wave device configuration parameters on-the-fly rather than by the normal method using the Device Options tab? Why would you need to do that?
You can get the configurations settings with Luup from the device variable VariablesGet and set them with VariablesSet. See: http://wiki.micasaverde.com/index.php/Luup_UPnP_Variables_and_Actions#ZWaveDevice1
I have no idea if you can change parameters during normal execution and have something useful happen. It may require a reload to effect the changes. It may also require something more drastic if you set them wrong. :o
use the Device Options tab, does not make sense to do it over LUUP. changing configuration parameters often triggers a device reconfiguration …
yeah got it …
i wanted to change a single device parameter based on a switch status, well its not something urgendly needed …
but while at the topic of device configurations.
does anyone know how i flush the pending configurations ?
i send a wrong parameter set to a device … resulting in config errors.
i removed the config, so now he vera try to remove the not existing parameter … also results in error …
so i always have the red bar below the switch with “Failed at: Setting user configuration”
is this a battery-powered device? are you sure you selected valid configuration parameters?
i removed the config, so now he vera try to remove the not existing parameter .. also results in error ..That's a tricky one. Vera can have an inconveniently long memory at times. You may need to exclude the device, restart and then include it again.
no its a Fibaro Switch (on permanent power)
and yes i did set a invalid parameter.
the problem is … vera tries since 3 days to set the “wrong” parameter.
well if it stop doing it at some stage, its allright with me.
the Red Error-bar is just anoying … the device works fine
re-pair is not really possible (its very tricky installed, would take me hours to get it out there)
