I am new to the products and have been trying to research the differences and features of various devices. The vera3 and the veralite seem to have different levels of capability and capacity, but I can only find one reference to that subject. ?E: Veralite has capacity of 70 devices. No mention of the Vera 3 capacity or limits.
Second. The published specs for the two devices do not address the difference in memory or if memory can be added by any means.
Third: I cannot find any link on any vendors pages to access a full manual of either of those devices.
Last: Is Dashboard downloadable or must one purchase a device to get access to the S/W?
Vera Lite. Click the Features & Specs tab. It is recommended not to plan on more than 70 Z-Wave devices, due to memory constraints.
Vera 3. Click the Features & Specs tab. There is no recommended device limit. One should be able to use the Z-Wave network maximum of 232 devices with Vera 3.
Notice that Vera 3 has twice as much RAM(128MB) versus Vrea Lite’s 64MB RAM. Vera 3 also has two USB ports, WiFi, and 4 LAN ports.
Second. The published specs for the two devices do not address the difference in memory or if memory can be added by any means.
The specs linked to above do address memory amounts. Memory cannot be added to either device. These devices are closed and not expandable.
