Coming from another system, should I replace my insteon garage I/O with zwave

I have 4 insteon garage door I/O links and I doubt I will ever get them working on UI7. I really did not want to buy another 4 zwave units like the mimo lite.

Any thoughts?

Either run altsteon or look into an ISY controller and use the ISY plugin.

I’ve got 2 Linear GD00Z-4 and they work great. They show up as a lightbulb but they do the trick.

The icon should change with the next firmware update.

I should have mentioned I got a vera edge and the usb to insteon modem is not working yet. Apparently still waiting for a firmware update to fix it.

The USB issue should be resolved in the next firmware update.

Marc whens the update coming? This month is winding down and haven’t had an update in some time.
