Color Touch Screen Thermostat Solution

I wish someone would have offered this solution to me so I am posting.

I have a very extensive z wave network in my home. I have full color touchscreens (wall mounted) in every room of my house to controll security, lights, and HVAC.

Here is a inexpensive suggestion for those of you who want your thermostate to look cool and controll vera throughout the home.

First get a cheep reliable zwave thermostate like the CT30 (I think you can find one on ebay for fifty bucks).
You will have to configure it to your vera.
Purchase 7" android tablet(s) like Dragon Touch Y88X for fifty dollars on Amazon
Download the IMPERIHOME app (it is the best i have found for customizing and reliability) has a Great HVAC widget.
Your tablets can be customized to anything you want on your vera network.

I wish someone would have offered this solution to me. I spent alot of money trying to get the look i wanted in my home. I have a 22 inch HP Android Slate mounted on the wall in the center of my house running IMPERIHOME PRO and the 7 inchers in all the rooms. It is also how I control from my phone. Imperihome is supposed to have a IOS beta app. I have not tried it yet.

How has your experience been with Imperihome and camera viewing on that tablet? On the tablet I have it is very laggy when I make it full screen for my HD IP camera. However, it works just fine in Authomation. The lower quality cameras seem to load better. I’m guessing Imperihome has too much overhead when loading the HD camera, but I can’t figure out if a better tablet wold fix that or if Imperihome just needs better code.
