code to actually bypass a zone prior to arming

I was wondering if it is possible to use the 'send command" code to simulate using the keypad to actually bypass a zone prior to arming the system. We have a number of wireless devices that are a good distance from the keypad. It happens very rarely, but every few months a wireless device doesn’t “check in” with the keypad in its 24hr window and will trip the zone into zone fault. Generally just manually tripping the zone will re-establish communication and the zone fault clears. Alternatively, you can use the keypad to bypass the offending zone as the system won’t arm if there is a zone fault. You hit *, arrow right to find the zone to bypass and then * again to bypass the zone. The system will then arm sucsessfully. That is fine when your physically on site to trip or bypass the zone however…

I would like to be able to do this remotely as no one is at the house for 3 months of the year. Currently if there is a problem, I can’t arm the alarm remotely. I understand there is a force arm, however when I looked through the 1832 manual I couldn’t find force arm anywhere nor how to do it (I understand force arm basically tells the system I know there’s a zone fault or tripped zone but ignore it and arm anyway, however I couldn’t find anyway to force arm from the keypad so was unclear if it would work from Vera) I actually tried it once and nothing happened

What I would like to do is set up scenes to bypass the zones that can act up from time to time, or to bypass a motion sensor if the dog is staying in the guest house (not by himself obviously). If you can use the send command in luup to simulate using the keypad to hit "*, zonenumber2bypass, *) I realize there is no way of “seeing” if the zone is then bypassed, however the arm status should change to “Ready” if all is well.

Is this a possibility?

Are you using a EVL3/2DS, or an IT100 to interface with?

We are using the IT100 interface!

I think it only works for the EVL3/2DS

The one item I will retain with the alarm is the 5580TC.
I have both the 2DS and IT100 connected but I still find the above interface over the phone the easiest way to manage this. Maybe I am just liking its reliability just need a phone and dial in.
