Clarification of forum contributors being banned

We were going to pay you to help us fill the holes with the api for plugin development. You knew that.
Are you pretending that you didn’t know that?

You got access…got the idea…thought hmmm…let me do that myself…and called it a day… would be me speculating

Were you not man enough to respond saying, hey man not ready can’t help you atm, good luck?
Instead you went and developed your “grouping idea” in silence after stopping to respond to us…One minute we are talking on skype and on phone, next minute radio silence from Patrick

Here’s a link to a post ON THIS VERY COMMUNITY that I posted in 2-0-1-8 about my cross-platform Dashboard that runs on Vera and Home Assistant.

https://community.getvera.com/t/what-did-you-do-with-vera-today/172785/1112?u=rigpapa

The best idea I’ve gotten from you is getting the heck away from your company.

I must say, as a contributor to open source community (www.openedr.com) as holder of many patents, founder of industry standards organizations, people like you kill innovation and innovators. I respect IP and ideas.
I am glad I am causing you to move away from us!
You are not a nice person Patrick!

I’ve produced more benefit for this community, almost all of it open source, in the last three years by myself than you have with all of your purported riches and an army of developers. Everything you have produced for Vera is locked down, your intellectual property. Everything I have produced for Vera can be downloaded from Github.

I think more people here think a lot more of me than they do of you.

shows how little you understand of technology  Full of yourself aren’t you Patrick…nice guy!

I know you’re trying to goad me into saying something bannable. You know it’s not going to work, right? I can respectfully disagree, no matter how unpleasant you get. That’s not me being full of myself, that’s just me trying to be a good person.

Really, if you want me banned, just get on and do it. You know you want to.

Nope,
I am admiring how amazingly full of yourself you are without realizing without my money and engineers keeping that old platform alive, you wouldn’t have this plugin running. Without my money that company would be most likely bankrupt and all those users would be owning a brick. But I can’t expect you to see that…
You are someone very small doing a very small job, thinking they are saving the world! Seen many like you…

This is a point you’ve made about all Vera customers. But thanks for repeating it so that everyone understands.

Anyway, this has grown tiresome. I have work to do to support this community and others. It’s been as nice talking to you as ever.

You started it with your attacks Patrick! I Kept quite for a few of your attacks thinking you would stop, but no, you kept on attacking…Now you got your response back…if you want to start dishing attacks than learn to take them as well…running away ha

@melih you have reached an all-time low. I hope you feel great about yourself taking personal hits at someone who acts with such a level of class that you cannot match.

Talk about forum rules you should’ve been banned many times over in this thread.

You definitely should leave this thread up for all past and future users (if there will be any new users at this point) so they can see the type of community and owner they have.

Maybe one day you are able to see clearly that in this situation you are throwing punches at the air with your comments towards Patrick who has kept the Vera platform alive without putting penny in. He definitely done way more work than you have, and outputted much more than you ever could. Just have a look at the likes on his post, no one agrees with you.

Overall, the lack of class you have exhibited today and times past has pushed me away permanently from ever trying any product that will come out from Ezlo. I mean its not like those products do much for me in the first place.

… “If I was an investor in your company, I’d be calling for your departure” …

There is a “handful of bitter” users of old Vera who simply are out of touch with reality and what we did for the platform (kept it alive by investing in it our own money). Their expectation of “what should happen” doesn’t map to our vision of where we are taking the company, therefore they are bitter, nasty and damn right hateful.
And I give them as much as I get from them, simple as that!
They are only a handful of bitter users, they should leave these forums!
You can see them “they like” Patrick’s posts  They are only a tiny handful users.

Wish you all the best with your choices Pabla.
Do you want me to turn off your account here?

Can I ask you for your departure from our forums please?
Please let me know if i can deactivate your account.

Absolutely!

Nope, Vera users are not claiming this absurdity like you are:

Its only you Patrick…noone else is this delusional about their contribution!

This exchange is very disheartening and sad to witness.
The person who has made Vera finally work for me is Partick, rigpapa. Not only with all his software but with the generous support he has given me and others working to make Vera work for us.
My only goal is to get my house to work the way I want it too and it is very discouraging to see Patrick’s work belittled by Ezlo.

@TomD
Did you read my skype message to Patrick? Where I explained my appreciation for the work he did.

I think your statements are not correct, clearly you missed the point.
We do value everyone’s work.
What is in discussion is @rigpapa thinks he did more work and more contribution than all the engineers that has been running Vera.

Do you agree that @rigpapa did more work and more contribution than all these engineers put together for Vera?

You are missing the point that @rigpapa is belittling Vera engineer’s work.

Vera just barely worked for me till Reactor came along. I don’t have the patience to get into the programing to much so some very basic functions were beyond me. With Reactor I finally got my kitchen counter lights to work the way I thought they should and continued on with a lot of other Reactor programming to get my house working the way I want. The Vera engineers certainly built the platform but without Reacor I probably would have moved on a year or two ago.

I appreciate the use case for your own situation. However the issue is whether you agree with @rigpapa’s statement where he belittles Vera engineers?
